Water from most intakes in Poland is characterized by high hardness (the content of calcium and magnesium compounds). Water hardness causes excessive consumption of cleaning, washing and cleaning agents, as well as the formation of boiler stone, which causes losses of heat energy and shortens the life of heating and household appliances. Softening water involves removing the components that cause its hardness from the water. This process involves the conversion of calcium and magnesium ions (responsible for water hardness) into sodium ions and occurs during the flow of water through the ion exchange resin. When the ion exchange capacity of the deposit is exhausted, it is subjected to a regeneration process using a brine solution.

Principle of operation:

Water entering the filter enters the filter chamber and from the outside flows into the filter cartridge, which stops impurities on the external surface. Opening the ball valve causes the filter cartridge to rinse and remove impurities outside while ensuring the supply of filtered water.
