The TDS/EC pocket gauge is a device designed to measure liquid density (TDS), conductivity (EC) and temperature (Temp).

Low levels of organic material in water, and thus its low hardness are desirable features in many areas. Soft water is better absorbed by the body, has a greater ability to retain oxygen, increases its clarity and thus increases the ease of photosynthesis processes. Accurate estimation of water temperature, hardness and conductivity is therefore important in many areas.

The meter allows to quickly and precisely determine the amount of particulate matter dissolved in the liquid. Thanks to this, it is possible to indicate the state of water pollution (ppm) and thus its drinking capacity. The higher the water hardness index (ppm), the greater the possibility of harmful effects on the human body.

The meter works using the EC process, i.e. the electrical conductivity of the liquid. Mineral substances such as salts, sodium, calcium, magnesium, etc. increase the conductivity of the liquid indicating its higher hardness.

METHOD OF USE:

✅ Remove the safety cap (can be used as a water measuring container)

✅ Turn on the meter with the ON/OFF button

✅ Dip the tip of the meter into the water without crossing the immersion line

✅ Press the SHIFT button to change the operating mode of the device and the type of reading values (TDS – ppm and °C; EC – µs/cm and °C; TDS – ppm and °F; EC – µs/cm and °F).

✅ After about 5 seconds, the result will stabilize.

✅ To save the result, after the measurement is complete, press the HOLD button
