Universal droplet water hardness tester. Helpful in determining the hardness of water in the water system used (indispensable in the case of installation and commissioning of water softener, washing machine, dishwasher, etc.

• The tester allows multiple measurements (depending on the hardness of the water, it can be 10 measurements and 30 measurements - typically, 20 measurements at 17 dH).
• The tester determines the hardness of water in dH units (German degrees), which are commonly used in Poland.
• For measurement, a single-component preparation is used - reagent drops, which are also a water hardness counter, are instilled directly into the vessel attached to the set (until the color of the tested sample changes from red to blue). If the water hardness is higher than 10-12 degrees dH, water is already eligible for softening to protect the water system and the fittings and household appliances connected to it (washing machine, dishwasher). Water softening protects the elements of the installation against limescale (boiler stone) deposition.

The general scale of water hardness is as follows:

• 0-4 dH - very soft water
• 5-8 dH - soft water
• 9-12 dH - medium hard water
• 13-18 dH - hard water
• 19 and above dH - very hard water
