Universal droplet water hardness tester. Indispensable when installing and running a water softener.
It allows multiple measurements depending on the degree of hardness of the water.

- Rinse the measuring vessel and syringe with water.
- Using a syringe, draw 5ml of test water.
- Pour the collected water into the measuring vessel.
- Add one drop of solution and stir the sample. If the water has a hardness >1°dH, the sample will turn dark brown. Count the added drops.
- Add more drops each time slightly stirring with a measuring dish until the first shade of green is obtained.
- The sum of added droplets corresponds to the general hardness of the test water expressed in German degrees.
