Installation – simple and without surprises:

1. Turn off the main valve, secure the workplace
2. Screw the mounting bracket and level
3. Connect the body while maintaining the flow direction (cold water)
4. Insert the cartridges into the cups and tighten the rings with a key
5. Slowly unscrew the water, vent with the button and check the tightness

Operation and service:

• Control dirt through the transparent lampshade
• Approximate intervals (depending on water quality and water consumption): foam: every 1 to 3 months, carbon block and UDF: every 3 to 6 months
• Replace beforehand if pressure drops or taste/smell worsens

Safety and good practices:

❓ Do the cartridges fit other than the set?

Yes. The body supports any standard 10" cartridge: mechanical (various micron), carbon (block, GAC), specialized (e.g. de-ironing – if the manufacturer has provided version 10").

❓ Is the set suitable for well water?

Yes, as a pre-filter. When crossing iron/manganese, very high turbidity or smell of hydrogen sulfide, it is worth adding appropriate media/stations as subsequent stages.

❓ Can it be mounted horizontally?

The recommended vertical mounting (head at the top) ensures proper flow, easy replacement of cartridges and effective venting.

❓ What pressure is safe for filter operation?

Recommended use up to 6 bar. Structurally, the set withstands up to approx. 8 bar, however, for longevity and safety please stick to 6 bar and install pressure reducer.

❓ What is the real flow through the set?

Okay, okay. 4000 l/h with fresh cartridges and good water parameters. The flow depends on the degree of soiling of the cartridges and the pressure in the installation.

❓ When to replace cartridges?

When the pressure on the installation noticeably drops, the taste/smell of water deteriorates or the approximate service life has passed. In more difficult conditions (wells, high consumption) replacements may be more frequent.

❓ Doesn’t a transparent lampshade cause algae growth?

If the filter is exposed to direct sunlight, please consider a cover or installation in a shaded area. In typical boiler rooms / cavities, this problem is not encountered.

❓ Does the kit remove limescale from water?

This set does not soften water – it protects primarily mechanically and reduces chlorine. A separate station (ion exchange softener) is needed for softening.

❓ Do carbon cartridges remove bacteria?

Activated carbon improves organoleptic parameters and has a bacteriostatic effect, but does not replace disinfection. Additional methods should be used for microbiological risks (e.g. UV after filtration).

❓ Can the cartridge be rinsed and used further?

Foam mechanical cartridges can sometimes be rinsed for a short-term refresh, but regular replacement is recommended for full effectiveness. Carbon cartridges do not regenerate – replacement with new ones.

❓ Is the kit suitable for working at low temperatures?

No. Minimum temp. Work is okay. 2°C. Please protect against freezing – frost can damage the body and seals.

❓ How to prepare the installation for installation?

It is recommended to take into account shut-off valves before and after the filter and service bypass (bypass) so that in the event of replacement of cartridges, the entire installation is not turned off.

❓ Can water be milky temporarily after installation?

Yes, this is a typical aeration after commissioning. The phenomenon disappears after a few minutes of rinsing and venting with a button on the head.

1️⃣ Preparation Before Installation

1.1. Checking the Kit Contents

• 3 × Filter housings with pre-attached heads (in a single frame)
• 1 × Mounting plate
• 1 × Housing wrench
• 6 × O-rings (seals) in the heads, pre-installed
• 3 × Filter cartridges
• 12 screws for attaching the plate to the heads

1.2. Tools and Additional Materials (not included)

• Drill with a ø6 mm drill bit
• ø6 mm wall plugs (anchors)
• Phillips head screwdriver (PH2)
• Technical Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly)
• 1" Male Threaded (GZ) water connection fittings
• Teflon tape or Teflon thread sealant for securing fitting threads
• Adjustable or open-end wrench for metal fittings (if needed)

1.3. Preparing the Cartridges

1. Remove each cartridge from its plastic packaging.
2. Place the cartridges in a clean container with water and submerge for 30 minutes.
3. After this time, gently remove them and allow excess water to drain.

Note: Soaking prevents air bubbles and improves filtration efficiency.

2️⃣. Selecting and Preparing the Installation Location

1. Choose a location:

   After the main water shut-off valve.

   In a space with easy access for maintenance and cartridge replacement.

2. Maintain at least 10 cm of free space below and above the filter frame.
3. Close the water shut-off valve and release pressure by opening the nearest tap after the filter.

3️⃣. Mounting the Mounting Plate and Housing Frame

1. Position the mounting plate under the frame of the three heads, ensuring it's level.
2. Mark the mounting holes, corresponding to the holes in the plate.
3. Drill the holes and insert wall plugs.
4. Attach the plate to the wall using the wall plugs.
5. Hang the housing frame on the plate, hooking the upper profile of the frame.

4️⃣ Installing Water Connections

Note: The housing set has 1" Female Threaded (GW) internal threads on the inlet and outlet. The customer must select external fittings (GZ).

1. Select 1" Male Threaded (GZ) fittings that match the 1" Female Threaded (GW) threads in the heads.
2. Wrap the GZ threads with Teflon tape (several turns).
3. Screw the GZ fittings into the GW threads of the heads:

   The side marked with an IN arrow – water supply from the plumbing system.

   The side marked OUT – water outlet after filtration.

4. Tighten the fittings with an adjustable wrench until you feel resistance.
5. Connect the water system pipes to the installed fittings, sealing the connections.

5️⃣ Installing Filter Cartridges

Reminder: The cartridges should already be soaked for 30 minutes.

1. Unscrew each housing:
2. Check that the O-ring is in place.
3. Apply a layer of Vaseline to the O-ring.
4. Insert the cartridges into the housing in the following order:

   Sediment (Foam) Filter

   Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Cartridge

   Activated Carbon Block Cartridge

5. Make sure each cartridge is seated vertically.
6. Tighten the housing: by hand or with the wrench until you feel slight resistance.

6️⃣ Start-up and Leak Test

1. Slowly open the main water supply valve (1/4 turn).
2. Observe the unit for 2–3 minutes:

   If you notice leaks, tighten the corresponding housing or fitting slightly.

3. After ensuring tightness, open the valve completely.

7️⃣ Flushing and Handing Over for Use

1. Open the nearest tap after the filter and flush the cartridges for 5–10 minutes.
2. Check the stability of the installation and the seals.
3. Record the installation date on the housing label – this will make it easier to plan cartridge replacements.

• To maintain high filtration quality, regularly check the condition of the cartridges and replace them according to recommendations.
