Filter FD177 + extra mesh inox SS316L 90 micron

The principle of operation of the pre-filter consists in separating in flowing water (on the basis of filtration) insoluble impurities with a fraction greater than (90 m). The smaller the micron, the more effective the filtration, but the greater the pressure loss on the filter. The cartridge is reusable and is cleaned of retained deposits during the manual rinsing phase (Spin Down)

Assembly and use

Easy installation for plumbing with the included screws. The pipes must be in a horizontal line so that the filter is mounted in an upright position. Place of installation behind the tap shutting off the water supply to the building, apartment.

Regular operation consists in checking the degree of contamination of the cartridge (the housing is transparent) and if contaminants are visible on the unscrewing of the filter drain valve. This action is performed without turning off the water supply, the pressure of which with the drain valve open pushes impurities out of the filter and rinses its filter cartridge / mesh. After re-closing the drain valve, the filter returns to the duty cycle.

Occasional operation consists in mechanical cleaning of the filter mesh or its replacement (once every few years). For this, turn off the water supply and unscrew the housing from the head.

Installation of shut-off valves recommended but not necessary (rarely there is a need to close the water supply).

Recommended use:

- In domestic water supply systems (main purpose).

- Selected industrial applications.

The pre-filter protects the household fittings against insoluble contaminants from the water supply network or own water intake (sand, rust, fine particles of sealing elements, etc. ).

In particular, it protects household appliances (washing machine, dishwasher), ceramic heads in bathroom and kitchen faucets, heads of water treatment devices (m.in. Softener, iron remover, etc. )

Recommended use as the first filter (pre-filter) against delicate fittings such as softeners, iron removers, osmosis stations, etc. In this way, the durability of subsequent filters in the filter line increases, which can have microns, e.g. from 1 to 50 microns, and can quickly block with larger contaminants or be damaged.

Construction of filter

The pre-filter has a brass head with a connection to the pressure gauge " and connections for installation to both the external thread G1/2 (recommended connection) or G3/4 .

The filter housing/flare is made of a clear, impact-resistant synthetic material that allows for a simple way to control the degree of contamination of the cartridge.

Inside the housing there is a robust and durable filter cartridge made of stainless steel, SS316L stainless steel ensuring low operating costs due to the need to replace only every few years.

At the bottom of the housing there is a drain valve to which you need to connect a drain hose (included) with a length. 100 cm and discharge it to e.g. Sewer/trigger. Comes with a service wrench to unscrew/screw the housing.
