controlCUE-basic is a full-featured IP controller with one keyboard port, one RS-232/485 bidirectional serial port, one presence sensor port, four universal ports and two low voltage relays.

Each universal port can be used as digital input or output, RS-232 serial output, as well as infrared output. The controller works as a fully programmable autonomous unit and works with the eight-button CUE-55 keyboard and other CUE control panels and touch panels. The controller stores the date and time using the built-in real-time clock (RTC), thus enabling a wide range of distributed planning applications. Single-cable Ethernet connection provides easy integration into your network. The controller is equipped with Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, which allows you to transfer data and power using an Ethernet network cable. The controller can be easily installed on any surface. This controller is equipped with a web server and allows configuration through a standard web browser.

Unit programming is based on the standard CUE Cue Visual Composer development tool.
