OSRAM ROADsight 3500 – 1296p dash cam with GPS

OSRAM ROADsight 3500 is a front dash cam designed to record the course of the route and events in front of the vehicle. It records images at 1296p at 30 fps. /s, and a wide 140° field of view allows you to cover a large part of the road and its surroundings.

How does ROADsight 3500 record?

The camera captures footage from the front of the vehicle at 1296p at 30 fps. /s. The lens covers a 140° field of view, thanks to which the frame houses not only the area directly in front of the car, but also most of its surroundings. HDR helps with scenes where there are both heavily lit and darker parts of the image.

GPS and G-Sensor

Built-in GPS allows you to save data related to the position and speed of the vehicle. The G-Sensor responds to the detected event and protects the corresponding file from standard overwriting as part of loop recording. This is a practical solution when the record is to be used to later recreate the course of a road incident.

Parking and time-lapse mode

ROADsight 3500 supports parking mode and time-lapse function, but for their proper operation the manufacturer requires a separate set OSRAM ROADsight Hard Wire Kit 3500 OHWK3500, which is not included in the standard camera set. The current OSRAM documentation states that in parking mode, the recording can be started automatically when an event is detected and last up to 30 seconds.

12/24 V power supply and installation

The camera is designed for vehicles with a 12/24 V installation and uses a USB-C connector. The glass mount is made in the form of a holder with a 3M self-adhesive element. When choosing the place of installation, keep an appropriate field of view of the driver and guide the cable so that it does not interfere with the operation of the vehicle.

Memory card

The device works with microSD cards up to 128 GB. The manufacturer recommends a C10 class card and formatting it before using it. The memory card is not part of the standard set.
