Filament, radiator S150RL-HO for UV lamp Sterilight, Viqua, R-CAN VH150/2, emitting bactericidal radiation in the UV-C band (254 nm), eliminating from water up to 99,9% of bacteria, viruses and other pathogens (e.g. fungi, spores, etc. ).
The filament replaced regularly, ensures high efficiency of water sterilization. Since UV-C radiation can negatively affect human health, filament replacement should only be carried out when the lamp is turned off.
How does UV-C radiation work on bacteria and viruses?
UV-C radiation eliminates bacteria and viruses from the water, damaging their genetic material (DNA, RNA). It should be remembered that radiation in the UV-C band is also harmful to humans. Do not use a damaged lamp. Do not turn on the radiator connected outside the lamp, the housing of which protects the environment from radiation. UV-C radiation is completely inert to the chemical composition of water. It only affects microorganisms in water (bacteria, viruses, fungi and other pathogens).
Replacement of the radiator in the bactericidal lamp
Before installing the radiator, check that the glass surface is not contaminated (it should be wiped clean with a cotton cloth). Do not touch the glass surface of the radiator with your hands.
Each switching off and on the lamp again shortens the life of the radiator.
