Purpose

Docking station designed for connecting and quickly swapping 2.5" and 3.5" HDD and SSD drives. It allows data transfer to your computer via USB and direct drive cloning in 1:2 mode.

Compatibility and Interfaces

The device supports SATA III drives and connects to your computer via a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (compatible with USB 3.1 Gen 1) Type-B port, enabling data transfer speeds up to 6 Gbit/s. The station is compatible with Windows 10 (32/64-bit), Windows 11, selected Linux kernels (including Kernel 6.5), and macOS 14.0 and 15.0. Compatibility may vary depending on system driver configuration.

Cloning Function and Usage

The built-in 1:2 cloning function allows you to directly copy the contents of one source drive to two target drives without a computer, speeding up drive replacement and backup creation. Support for both 2.5" and 3.5" drives simplifies working with laptop and desktop media, and the three-bay design allows for simultaneous connection of three drives.

Design and Power

The housing is made of black plastic and is controlled by a JMicron JMS562 controller. The device requires external power (12 V operating voltage) and supplies current according to the power adapter's specifications. A USB Type-A to USB Type-B cable for computer connection is included.
