Checking Your DisplayPort (DP) Version:

The DP version on your laptop, computer, or tablet directly determines the actual resolution achievable when connecting to external monitors using an Anker hub.

Here are three easy ways to check the DP version of your device:

1. Ask the device manufacturer or retailer directly.

2. If you're using a Windows device, you can check the DP version by checking your processor generation.

DP version 1.2 if your processor is Intel 10th generation or older.

DP version 1.4 if your processor is Intel 11th generation or newer.

DP version 1.4 if you are using a workstation laptop with an NVIDIA graphics card.

Not sure how to check your processor generation?

Simply go to This PC (or My Computer) > Properties and look for the number (bolded and underlined below):

Processor: Intel(R) Core i7-8850H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
