The WS-1032P offers a user-friendly graphical web interface for easy setup. It enables centralized management of the PLANET Smart AP series without having to manually configure each AP for wireless SSID, radio bandwidth and security settings. With a four-step setup process, different wireless profile targets can be delivered simultaneously to multiple access points or groups of access points, minimizing time, effort, and deployment costs.

Importing floor maps and locating each access point or group of access points according to the field location saves time and costs associated with on-site operation and monitoring. It shows the AP status in real time, and the signal heat map reflects the actual range and helps the administrator adjust the overlap of adjacent APs at any time to optimize wireless network performance.

Support for Layer 3 routing

The WS-1032P enables an administrator to conveniently increase network performance by manually configuring Layer 3 IPv4/IPv6 VLAN static routing, automatic configuration of RIPv1/v2 and OSPFv2/v3 (Open Shortest Path First) settings. OSPF is an internal dynamic routing protocol for autonomous systems based on the state of the link. This protocol creates a link state database by exchanging link states between Layer 3 switches and then uses the Shortest Path First algorithm to generate a route table based on that database.

Optimal redundant ring for faster restore of managed network

The WS-1032P supports redundant ring technology and features a strong, fast self-healing capability to prevent interruptions and intrusions from outside. The WS-1032P uses advanced ITU-T G.8032 ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) and Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1w RSTP) technology to increase system reliability and uptime in harsh environments. In some simple ring networks, the restore time can be less than 10 ms, which allows the network to be quickly restored to its normal state and thus enables the management network to continue operating.

Secure user-friendly management

For efficient management, the WS-1032P is equipped with console, web and SNMP management interfaces.
