Intelligent operation
The Sonnettech Twin10G achieves high throughput with minimal host CPU overhead. The smart adapter controller has its own internal processing system with built-in memory to process TX/RX data using a small amount of CPU resources. When data appears in queues, TX checksums are calculated on the fly during data transfer; RX checksums are quickly verified and data is immediately transferred directly to the main memory. This independent controller operation minimizes latency and prevents packet drops. The CPU is released to perform other tasks.
