The PATON ProMIG-250 welding machine is a semi-automatic welding machine that supports several methods:

• MMA – classic welding with a wrapped electrode,
• TIG Lift – TIG welding with ignition by rubbing (after connecting the TIG handle).

It is a universal device for workshop, garage, construction and assembly work.

❓ What is the maximum welding current and what materials can be welded?

The ProMIG-250 offers welding currents of up to 250 A and smooth adjustment between 12 and 250 A.

Allows welding:

• structural steel up to 10 mm,
• stainless steel up to 8 mm,
• aluminium up to approx. 6 mm (after using the appropriate wire and gas).

The welder has a duty cycle of 60% at 250 A, which ensures the possibility of long-term operation without overheating. It is an ideal choice for workshop work, repairs, steel and bodywork structures.

The ProMIG-250 welder can be powered from a power generator, provided that:

• the unit has voltage stabilization (AVR),
• its continuous power is a minimum of 7,5 to 8 kW,
• The recommended power is 8 kW with AVR if you plan to weld at full power (250 A).

The 6 – 6,5 kW unit with AVR is sufficient for typical workshop work with currents up to 200 A.

The welder can work with longer extension cords:

• up to 60 meters with a cross-section of 2,5 mm²,
• up to 150 metres with a cross-section of 4 to 6 mm².
