4Vets Natural Renal Wet Food for Dogs with Kidney Failure 400 g

Complete dietary food for dogs with chronic or chronic kidney failurę. After the disappearance of ailments and in older dogs, it can bé an element of prevention. Duration of application:

It is recommended to use the diet initially up to 6 months; in order to establish a proper nutrition plan or before extending the period of use, it is recommended to consult a veterinarian.

· Food based on sources of wholesome animal protein with low fat content. The addition of chicken egg raises the limiting amino acid coefficient to a level that guarantees the correct proportions in the absorption of all amino acids. The amount of protein covers the body's minimum demand for essential amino acids, but does not cause their excessive catabolization and the formation of products that could interfere with kidney function.

· The presence of fatty acids derived from both raw materials of animal origin (turkey and salmon fat),as well as salmon oil ensures maximum involvement of polyunsaturated fatty acids from the n-3 and n-6 families in the biochemical control of the formation of proinflammatory cytokines and through specific inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX-2) activity have analgesic and relaxation properties on the muscle of blood vessels in the kidney. The ratio of fatty acids n6:n3 is 1:1,6.

· In the veterinary diet RENAL the raw material composition has been selected so that the diet contains a reduced phosphorus content, thanks to which degenerative changes in the kidney are inhibited. Reduced sodium content reduces filter pressure in the kidney.

· The addition of L-carnitine provides targeted and facilitated transport of medium-chain fatty acids to the mitochondria, where they undergo metabolism, the resulting lipolytic effect inhibits the use of proteins for energy purposes and thus the products of protein catabolism reach the kidney to a lesser extent.

· Mannooligosaccharides, beta-glucans, inulin and psyllium stimulate digestive functions and absorption of nutrients in the digestive tract and stimulate its peristalsis.

· In the RENAL diet, DL-methionine, cranberries and parsley are an important addition. Essential oils (limonene, eugenol) and flavonoids contained in parsley have a diuretic effect contributing to increased glomerular filtration. In contrast, cranberries rich in procyanidins including DL-methionine affect the pH reduction of urine in the bladder, thanks to which the growth of pathogenic microflora is controlled.
