Standard plus harnesses are the simplest rehabilitation harness for a dog supporting the movement of a pet with posterior limb paresis. They can also be used on the front.
Standard Plus harnesses are light, made of impregnated fabric and filled with soft nonwoven fabric. Very comfortable, do not hurt the dog and do not cause abrasions, allow normal to deal with physiological needs. They are equipped with a rubber handle that allows the caregiver to comfortably support the animal.
In the basic version of standard plus braces must be supported by the guardian at all times - when released, the handles will slide off. If the animal walks alone, and needs help only in certain situations - e.g. on the stairs, braces should be attached to your dog's own harness with a belt or a special tape connecting, so that the caregiver will not have to support them all the time.
The correct size of the Standard Plus harness rehabilitation harness is selected based on the measurement of the dog's groin circumference - a detailed description of the measurement is provided below, next to the size chart. If the rehabilitation harness is planned as an aid after surgery, it is good to get your dog used to it beforehand, so that in a difficult period of convalescence the harness is already known to the animal.
