ChildLife Essentials Liquid Iron Natural Berry is a liquid dietary supplement containing iron in the form of ferrous bisglycinate chelate. The product has been developed with children in mind. The liquid form makes it easy to serve, and the natural berry flavor improves your child's acceptance of the product. Iron supports the proper production of red blood cells and hemoglobin and helps in the proper transport of oxygen in the body. The formula contains 10 mg of iron per serving 1 teaspoon - 5 ml. The product does not contain added sugar, alcohol, gluten, milk, casein, soy, wheat, eggs, yeast or artificial sweeteners according to the available descriptions. The product is a dietary supplement. It does not replace a varied diet or medical consultation in case of iron deficiency, anemia or suspected blood diseases.

Composition:

Active ingredient in a daily portion - 1 teaspoon / 5 ml:

• Iron, as ferric bisglycinate chelate - 10 mg

Other ingredients:

• vegetable glycerin
• deionised water
• natural berry/forest fruit aroma
• citric acid
• xanthan gum

How to use:

Shake well before use.

Children from 4. year of age: administer 1 teaspoon - 5 ml - per day. The product can be administered directly or mixed with juice, another drink or baby food. It is best to administer with food, keeping an interval of several hours before or after the administration of other supplements, especially preparations containing calcium, magnesium, zinc or dairy products, as they may reduce the absorption of iron. Do not exceed the recommended portion for consumption during the day without consulting a doctor, pediatrician or pharmacist.

Contraindications and precautions:

The product is intended for children according to the dosage on the label. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to iron, ferric bisglycinate chelate, glycerin, berry flavour, citric acid, xanthan gum or any of the other ingredients. Talk to your doctor before using a child with anaemia, suspected iron deficiency, chronic diseases, liver disease, kidney disease, gastrointestinal diseases, malabsorption disorders, haemochromatosis, thalassaemia, haemolytic anaemia, frequent constipation or taking medicines. Do not use concomitantly with other iron-containing preparations without controlling the total daily supply of iron. Iron can interact with certain medications and minerals. Time intervals should be maintained from tetracycline and fluoroquinolone antibiotics, levothyroxine, bisphosphonates, calcium, magnesium, zinc and dairy products. Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is particularly dangerous for young children. Keep the product strictly out of reach of children. If you accidentally consume more of the product, contact your doctor or toxicology centre immediately. The product may cause transient gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhoea or darker stool colour. If you experience vomiting, severe abdominal pain, severe constipation, diarrhoea, rash, itching, swelling, deterioration of well-being or other worrying symptoms, stop using and consult your doctor. A dietary supplement cannot be used as a substitute for a varied diet. It is important to feed your child properly and lead a healthy lifestyle. Keep tightly closed, in a dry and cool place, away from light, moisture and heat sources. Keep out of the reach of children. People who are allergic or hypersensitive to iron, ferrous bisglycinate chelate, glycerin, berry flavors, citric acid, xanthan gum or any component of the product should not use it.
