RCF 3 scans rooms with a LiDAR laser sensor and builds a map of your home on this basis. With the map, it washes methodically, and you can see in the app what it has already done.

Does RCF 3 also vacuum?

No. RCF 3 is a mopping robot – a specialist in wet cleaning of hard floors. There is no vacuuming function, but dry fine dirt such as dust and crumbs scoops up the roll while washing and puts it in a dirty water tank.

How is RCF 3 different from Kärcher RCV 3?

RCV 3 is a robot vacuum cleaner that combines vacuuming with washing. RCF 3 is specialized exclusively in wet washing: it works with an FC roller with a two-tank system, so that it washes with a clean roller and fresh water throughout cleaning.

Does the robot bypass carpets?

Yes. It detects carpets with an ultrasonic sensor, circles them around and shows them on the map in the app, so they stay dry. If you want, you can turn off carpet avoidance in the application – then the robot also passes through carpets with short pile.

Will he get under the bed or the couch?

The robot is 12 cm tall and 34 cm in diameter, so it will look under many furniture on its legs. Measure the clearance under your furniture before purchasing.

How long does it last and what surface will it clean?

On a single charge, it works up to 120 minutes and washes up to 80 m², depending on the mode selected. Full battery charging in the station takes 180 minutes.

What happens when the water runs out or the tank fills up?

Level indicators keep an eye on both tanks. When the dirty water tank fills up or runs out of fresh water, the robot stops working and returns to the station, and you see the LED signal on the robot and a notification in the application.

Does the station need to be connected to water?

No. The station is used to charge the battery – you pour water directly into the tank of fresh water in the robot, and pour dirty water from the second tank after cleaning.
