The projectors also work with Panasonic’s optional ET-SWR10 real-time projection mapping system3. With this ready-to-use Software Development Kit (SDK), you can connect to infrared cameras and display images on fast-moving objects at a frequency of 240 Hz1, seamlessly and seamlessly combining visual content and physical movement in your XR attraction.

With a compact design about 29% smaller in volume and 22% lighter than existing RZ790/RZ690 projector models, the RQ7 series saves resources and reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation, storage and installation. It can be easily moved and installed by two people, which streamlines multi-projection logistics. What’s more, an efficient cooling system reduces noise during operation to just 31 dB1, so that the audience focuses on the experience rather than the equipment that creates it.

Compatible with existing DLE series lenses

The RQ7 series is compatible with Panasonic DLE series projection lenses, offering versatility in a variety of production layouts and making the transition to 4K1 more cost-effective for companies with existing lens inventories. The projector’s reinforced lens mount now supports the ET-DLE020G/ET-DLE020 ultra-short throw zoom lens without the need for a bracket2, which streamlines installation. These lenses are equipped with electric zoom3, focus and vertical/horizontal lens offset, conveniently controlled via remote control or Smart Projector Control4 app.

Support for new media processors to simplify multi-project projection

The RQ7 series works with Panasonic ET-FMP50 series multimedia processors to simplify the complexity of multiple projections. Processors that consist of a box type and a function card for the projector’s Intel® SDM compliant SLOT slot offer automatic warping/mixing 1 and 4K media playback capabilities via the camera.

Wide scalability with Intel® SDM compliant SLOT slot

The RQ7 series is compatible with optional proprietary third-party function cards that can be placed in an Intel® SDM compliant SLOT slot, making it easy to adapt, scale and extend projector capabilities.

Optional proprietary and third-party function cards are sold separately. Panasonic cannot guarantee the operation of third-party devices. The transmission method to the socket must be via HDMI™ signal.

Intelligent projector control app streamlines workflow

Smart Projector Control1 allows you to control up to 64 projectors from your phone or tablet. Allows you to adjust projector settings from your device, which is useful when OSD menu projection is not possible. Other features include test pattern selection, shutter control, network control interface access, lens settings adjustment, brightness blocking, and focus adjustment with the device camera2 from up to 30m (98ft)3 away. The application allows you to quickly connect to the projector using QR4 code scanning, eliminating password/SSID input.

Geo Pro automates screen matching and mixing

The RQ7 series offers built-in geometric adjustment tools, including a point Free Grid feature to correct localized screen distortion. It comes with pre-activated licenses for the Geo Pro software upgrade kit. These include the ET-UK20 Geometry Manager Pro upgrade kit, which extends functionality and adds advanced tools for masking lines, shapes and bitmaps, and the ET-CUK10 Auto Screen Adjustment Upgrade Kit, which automates edge mixing, including adjusting brightness, color and black levels with the camera.

Contrast synchronization and shutter synchronization only with LAN

Traditionally, dynamic contrast control worked individually for each projector in a multi-screen system, leading to gradual noise in the mixes caused by changes in the average image level (APL). Panasonic contrast synchronization solves this problem by using the average APL of all projectors in the system, which ensures a smooth image on multiple screens. The RQ7 series are the first Panasonic projectors that support LAN-only contrast synchronization, eliminating the need for serial cable connections and reducing system complexity. In addition, the shutter speed of all sub-projectors is synchronized with the main projector via LAN connection, which ensures consistent appearance/fading effects throughout the projection.

Import and save custom test patterns

In addition to 10x built-in test patterns, users can import and save 4x custom images in JPEG, BMP or PNG format to an RQ7 series projector via a network control interface or USB stick for use as test patterns, boot logos and screensavers without signal. Installers can calibrate projectors using client content or custom images without connecting media to the source device.

Quickly find the projection angle with the angle monitor

The RQ7 series supports 360° projection angles, allowing you to map images to floors, walls, and 3D objects. However, adjusting the projection angle to simulate a project can be difficult and requires two people. The projectors are equipped with a built-in gyroscopic sensor that detects changes in the angle of inclination and tilt of the projector, displayed graphically in the OSD settings menu. Installers can adjust the projection angle without the need for assistance.

They serve only as a reference and their accuracy is not guaranteed.

Refreshed network control user interface

The RQ7 series is equipped with an updated network control interface that supports dark and light modes. The information in the user interface has been reorganized to improve visibility. You can set projector command schedules such as power on/off, view the projector OSD settings menu on your computer screen, and adjust the device status information on your home screen. Other updates include adaptive screen sizes and improved mobile versions for efficient management.

Eco-friendly innovation with proven reliability and recycled materials.

Dust-resistant optical motor

The RQ7 series optical motor and laser light source are compliant with IP5X Dust Protected (IEC 60529)1 standard. This eliminates the need for a filter and enables 20 000 hours2 of maintenance-free projection. Reliability has been confirmed by accelerated tests in the dust chamber in conditions much dustier than those in which some competitors’ products are tested.

Eco Boost technology maintains perceived brightness with reduced energy consumption

The new Eco Boost mode further reduces power consumption when dynamic contrast is enabled, while maintaining perceived brightness.

Reduce environmental impact with recycled materials

The plastic parts of the projector’s main body are not only responsibly sourced, but also contain about 73%1 of recycled resins, which reduces the use of virgin materials. By supporting environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and implementing post-life recycling programs, your organization helps minimize environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle.

Excessive backup input

Two identical signals can be transmitted simultaneously to HDMI™ 1 (basic) and HDMI™ 2 (spare). If the transmission to the primary input is interrupted, the projector will automatically switch to a backup in at least 0,3 seconds1 without the screen blanking out. This layer of protection provides more peace of mind during events where the display of the image cannot be interrupted.

Multi-scale drive motor increases reliability

Many laser modules are equipped with failover circuits. In the unlikely event of a single diode failure, the Circuitry failover continues to supply electricity to the functional diodes in the series, minimizing loss of brightness. If the same problem occurs in projectors without failover circuits, all diodes in the module can turn off, causing a significant loss of brightness.

Reduce errors with LITE remote preview

LITE remote preview allows projectors to confirm connectivity and evaluate image matches before displaying video by displaying preview thumbnails on a laptop. This is valuable during live events where on-screen content checking is limited due to audio rehearsals and other logistical factors. Available through software or a web browser, it works with the projector in standby mode1 or with the shutter on, minimizing errors before performances.
