VSL#3® is a dietary supplement in the form of a powder for oral suspension. Each sachet contains a lyophilisate of 8 strains of live lyophilised lactic acid bacteria:

  • Streptococcus thermophilus BT01,
  • Bifidobacterium breve BB02,
  • Bifidobacterium longum* BL03,
  • Bifidobacterium infantis* BI04,
  • Lactobacillus acidophilus BA05,
  • Lactobacillus plantarum BP06,
  • Lactobacillus paracasei BP07,
  • Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus** BD08.

Each sachet of the VSL#3® formula contains 450 billion (450 x 109) colony forming units (CFU). To make a solution, simply dissolve the contents of the sachet in a summer liquid, e.g. in water, milk, juice or yogurt and mix thoroughly until the powder is completely dissolved.

VSL#3® 450 sachets can be used as a dietary supplement for adults and children over 3 years of age. The product is gluten-free and contains no lactose or soy.

Recommended use

How to use VSL#3® in sachets?

  • Children from 3 years of age and adults: 1-2 sachets a day.
  • Dissolve the contents in water, yogurt, apple juice or other cold, still drink and consume immediately.
  • The sachet can be divided into several days as long as the open sachet is stored in the refrigerator and used within seven days of opening.
  • It is recommended to close the open sachet with a food seal clip or fold the sachet and seal it with adhesive tape.

What is VSL#3®?

Maltose, mixture of lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria (S. thermophilus BT01, B. breve BB02, B. longum BL03 (reclassified as B. animalis subsp. lactis BL03), B. infantis BI04 (reclassified as B. animalis subsp. lactis BI04), L. acidophilus lacfi ), maize starch, anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide.

1 sachet contains:

  • live lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria 450 x 109 CFU***.

2 sachets contain:

  • live lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria 900 x 109 CFU***.
