What to look for before buying?
Compressor – can yours do it?
The pneumatic jack works as well as its air supply is good. Before you buy, check your compressor for three things:
- Pressure — the lift needs a certain working pressure, in this model it is 6 bar. Virtually every workshop compressor reaches this range, so from this side there is rarely a problem – the maximum working pressure is 8 bar.
- Capacity of the tank — it determines the pace. The large tank gives off the accumulated air in one "haust", so the bellows fills quickly and smoothly. To ensure comfortable operation without downtime, we recommend a compressor with a minimum tank of 100 l.
- Performance (l/min) — the higher the airflow, the faster the tank rebuilds between successive elevations. With individual wheel changes, this does not matter much; with tape work, yes.
