Description

PCIe TO 2-CH SATA HAT+ is an expansion card that allows you to connect two SATA hard drives to the Raspberry Pi 5 without the need to install drivers. The device is fully compliant with the HAT+ standard, which ensures automatic detection and configuration of the hardware by the Raspberry Pi OS. The adapter connects to the Raspberry Pi 5 board via a 16-pin PCIe interface, offering two SATA 3.0 (6 Gbps) ports, compliant with PCIe Gen2 and SATA Gen3 standards.

The module allows you to connect both 2,5” and 3,5” disks, supporting 5V and 12V power supply, making it ideal for server applications, NAS, data storage systems and IoT projects. Thanks to the built-in EEPROM chip, the adapter stores HAT+ identification data and product information, which allows automatic loading of configurations. The board also features two LEDs to indicate the operating status, making it easy to monitor the activity of connected drives. The device supports full command queue (NCQ) and AHCI 1.2 specification, ensuring high data transfer efficiency and low latency. Supports L0s/L1 power saving modes and SATA partial/sleep power management features. The adapter does not require additional power supply if the connected drives do not use 12V voltage. If you use the latest Raspberry Pi OS, the module works in plug and play mode without the need to install drivers. The whole is based on the new HAT+ standard, ensuring a perfect fit and compatibility with Raspberry Pi 5 boards.
