Aliness Omega 3-6-9 is a composition of natural oils that provides essential omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids in optimal proportions. The product includes fish oil obtained from European anchovy – rich in EPA and DHA acids, as well as vegetable oils – linseed and sunflower, which are a valuable source of α-linolenic acids (ALA), linoleic and oleic acids. The product is available in an affordable form of soft capsules.

A mixture of natural oils: from fish, sunflower seeds and flax seeds, with a full spectrum of essential fatty acids: omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9.

What are omega acids?

Omega acids are the common name for the group of essential fatty acids (EFAs). In their molecules there is at least one double bond (i.e. unsaturated) between carbon atoms in the carbon chain. The numerical suffix indicates at which carbon atom from the end of the chain there is such a bond

OMEGA acids are...

NECESSARY – because unlike saturated fatty acids, our body is not able to produce them on its own, and they are needed at many levels of its functioning. Therefore, they must be supplied in adequate quantities in food.

UNSATURATED – which means that there is at least one double bond between carbon atoms in the carbon chain in the molecules of these acids. The numerical suffix -3, -6 or -9 means that the last such double bond is located at the third, sixth or ninth carbon atom from the end of the chain.

Triglycerides vs Esters

Omega fatty acids can be delivered to the body in various chemical forms – e.g. in free form, in the form of triglycerides or esters. Fatty acids, which are naturally found in food, are mostly found in the form of triglycerides, being part of fats and are present to a small extent as free fatty acids. The form of triglycerides is therefore a natural form of omega fatty acids.

On the market you can also find dietary supplements and medicinal products based on omega acids in the form of ethyl esters (esterified form). It is an artificial form of omega fatty acids, obtained by chemical synthesis, in which natural triglycerides are broken down into free fatty acids, and then through the chemical esterification process transform them into ethyl esters of appropriate fatty acids. Fatty acid esterification is a solution commonly used in pharmacy, mainly due to the possibility of obtaining raw material with strictly desirable and reproducible parameters, and consequently easier use in complex technological processes as well as easier to store.

However, in daily supplementation it is preferable to use forms of omega fatty acids in the form of triglycerides, which are a natural ingredient found in the same form in food and therefore best recognized and tolerated by the body.

Our omega acids are found exclusively in the natural form of triglycerides and are free from synthetically esterified forms. The oil is encapsulated in a protective atmosphere, which makes it easy to store the capsules at room temperature.
