This car, based on the Ford Mustang, was designed in the 1960s in the muscle car style. It was a series of cars modified by Carroll Shelby and sold as a series. This program was sponsored by the factory, which eventually took over the production of the modified vehicles. Currently, the Mustang Cobra models are considered the continuation of the idea behind the Shelby GT500.
