Our research and development efforts have shown that the S-R10 achieves linear and oblique impact results that far exceed the current limits of the ECE 22.06 helmet approval standards. For direct linear impacts, which are 90-degree impacts between the helmet and the subject, the S-R10 outperforms the standard by an average size of 37%. These vents integrate directly into the helmet shell with a series of air ducts through the EPS inner lining.
