TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS AND OUTER SHELL

INNER SHELL

• The inner shell of the S-R10 is made of EPS with different densities
• The S-R10 has four inner shells, as does the outer shell. Underneath the outer shell of the helmet is an eight-piece EPS liner of different density, with six specific densities that are strategically placed in different zones to provide excellent energy absorption from impact forces dissipated on the outer shell, as well as a close and comfortable fit

A-HEAD FIT SYSTEM

• Adding to the personalization and tailor-made fit of the S-R10 helmet, the unique and patented A-Head fit system. The A-Head system allows you to adjust the helmet exactly to the rider's preferences, allowing you to adjust both the height and angle at which the helmet sits on the head

AERODYNAMICS

• Developed using CFD simulations, verified in the wind tunnel and on the track, the S-R10 helmet is optimized for low resistance and maximum stability
• The S-R10 is equipped with two separate aerodynamic spoilers – a standard and a longer racing version – and both are equipped with a Alpinestars patented release system, with flexible connectors that help the spoiler detach from the helmet shell if subjected to a significant impact, regardless of angle, to reduce potential rotational energy.
• There are also side wings that further support the stability of the S-R10 and improve aerodynamic drag. Additionally, the helmet visor has turbulators to improve aero-acoustic performance

VENTILATION

• SUPERTECH R10 HELMET CONTAINS ELEVEN VENTILATION POINTS
• When it comes to ventilation and breathability, there are 11 ventilation ports, not counting the eye port, with 7 inlets, including 3 in the chin guard and 4 on the top of the helmet, plus 4 outlets, with 2 side ports on the chin beam and 2 on the top back of the helmet. These ventilation ports integrate directly into the helmet shell with a series of air ducts through the EPS inner lining. In the S-R10, air flow enters through ports and also actively circulates above and around the rider’s head through a series of channels, and is then pulled out of the back of the helmet.
• The upper air intake has a large central slider that directs the air to the top of the head for better comfort, which when opened has inlets to pull hot air out of the rider's forehead. Under the rear spoiler there are two outlets for effective hot air extraction. Chin inlets are created by two holes located on the front of the helmet on the sides of the cover lock mechanism, where each flap has a tab in the corner that is used to open or close the inlet. The air coming in from this point is directed towards the inside of the shields, creating a laminated airflow that effectively prevents evaporation and haze. Additionally, the inlets on the chin beam are used to draw moist air out of the helmet

BEAM PROFILE

• Another protective feature of the outer shell is the chin beam profile, where the base area has been specially shaped to create a relief section. The lower profile is raised to bypass the collarbone, and instead of a hard carbon fiber shell that could potentially come into contact with the collarbone, the S-R10 has a softer EPP (extended polypropylene) padding that protrudes beyond the helmet shell itself and is covered with a more flexible rubber compound. This chin beam design reduces the risk of any clavicle injury, one of the most common injuries in motorcyclists
