PrenaCare® START for women is a comprehensive support for women planning pregnancy.

The product contains ingredients recommended by Polish Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians (PTGiP): vitamin D and folic acid in the form of active folate. In addition, the composition has been enriched with additional nutrients that have a positive effect on fertility and normal reproductive function1, help maintain hormonal balance2 and proper homocysteine levels3, restoring the balance of the body at such an important stage of life for every future mother.

1. Complete folate deficiencies

In the product we used only one, the most bioavailable form of folic acid in the form of 5-MTHF Qauatrefolic® folate, at the highest dose of 800µg/caps. Folian Quatrefolic ® is immediately active and ready for action! It does not have to be converted to an active chemical form first, as is the case with traditional folic acid. Therefore, it supplements the level of folates in the body immediately after admission, and its high bioavailability has been confirmed by numerous studies.

2. Increase immunity and bone mineralization

Pregnancy is a time of increased demand for vitamin D, which contributes to the proper functioning of the immune system, and also supports the skeletal system, during this period particularly exposed to overload and demineralization. Each capsule of PrenaCare® START for women is 2000 IU of vitamin D, in the form of well-absorbed, natural cholecalciferol (vitamin D3).

3. Control homocysteine

Too high levels of homocysteine during pregnancy can adversely affect both the mother and the developing baby, contributing to the formation of serious fetal defects. Therefore, before the planned conception, it is worth taking care of the low level of this undesirable component in the body. PrenaCare® START for women provides a set of synergistically acting ingredients that help maintain the proper metabolism of homocysteine – vitamin B6 (phosphate-5-pyridoxal), vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) and active folate Quaterfolic ®.

4. Improve libido, fertility and reproductive function

PrenaCare® START for women is also an action aimed at improving sexual function, facilitating the conception of a child. A high dose of 10mg of zinc in a highly absorbable, organic form of zinc picolinate helps maintain normal fertility and reproductive function. In addition, the product provides high doses of natural vitamin E (D-alpha-tocopherol), PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid) and inositol in the most favorable proportion of myo- and D-chiro- forms equal to 40:1.

Inositol vs. PCOS and Pregnancy Planning

It is estimated that 5% to 10% of women may be affected by polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), which is one of the most common causes of menstrual disorders and infertility in women.

Inositol, as a naturally occurring component in the body, is involved in many metabolic processes. It's m.in. The precursor of phospholipids, which are responsible for the production of important intracellular signals within the oocyte, i.e. the precursor of the egg, and its sufficiently high concentration in the body remains in correlation with the quality of the resulting eggs.

Both isomers – myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol – are present in the body and remain in balance with each other. According to the latest scientific research, due to the different functions that each of the isomers performs in the body, the most beneficial for women planning pregnancy is the supplementation of both forms of inositol (myo / D-chiro) in a ratio of 40:1.

PrenaCare® START as one of the few products intended for women planning pregnancy has been enriched with a high dose of well-absorbed inositol, while maintaining an optimal proportion of myo- and D-chiro- isomers equal to 40:1. This, combined with other carefully selected active ingredients, makes PrenaCare® START an effective and innovative proposal for pre-conceptual supplementation.

If you need higher doses of inositol, we also recommend additional supplementation with Aliness Inositol 650mg (myo/D-chiro 40/1).

Pregnancy and iron

Pregnancy is a period in increased demand for iron, which is associated with the possibility of anemia. On the other hand, not in every case supplementation of this microelement is necessary, and taking it in excessive amounts can be even toxic to the body. Therefore, according to the current recommendations of the Polish Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians, the need for iron supplementation should be determined individually and preceded by appropriate tests ordered by the doctor conducting pregnancy, so as to determine the appropriate dose of supplementation and whether it is necessary at all. If you need iron supplementation, we recommend the product Aliness Organic iron in the patented form of MicroFerr® 25 mg.

Pregnancy and iodine

Pregnancy is also a period in which a woman’s body may need more iodine. According to official data, ok. 10% of women suffer from autoimmune thyroiditis or Hashimoto. Unofficially, however, it is estimated that in fact the Hashimoto’s problem affects up to 40% of women, and a large part of them may not even be aware of it. Iodine supplementation in the course of this disease may require different doses than those recommended to healthy people, and the decision to take supplementation should be considered individually, after appropriate diagnostic tests and after consultation with a doctor.

For these reasons, the formula of PrenaCare® START for women does not contain iodine or iron.

The lack of iodine and iron in the product gives the possibility of individual selection of these elements and thus the product is safe for people suffering from allergies and autoimmune diseases m.in. hashimoto.
