Milk thistle (Silybum marianum L.) is a plant belonging to the asteraceae family, originating from the Mediterranean area. The healing effect of milk thistle has been known since antiquity.

Common artichoke (Cynara scolymus) is a plant belonging to the same family as milk thistle. Thanks to its wide action, it is valued in herbalism and medicine, m.in.: protects the liver and helps maintain normal cholesterol levels.

Silymarin exhibits multidirectional action supporting liver function. First of all, it contributes to the regeneration of liver cells and helps protect them from damage. It also supports proper bile production, which is important for digestive processes. In addition, it helps maintain a healthy liver and has a protective effect on it. Moreover, silymarin may help maintain normal blood glucose levels.
