What is Indian nettle?

Indian nettle (Coleus forskohlii) is a perennial plant found mainly in Southeast Asia, but also in South America. Indian nettle extract is a source of many biologically active substances that have a positive effect on the body. Among them, the most important is considered to be the forskolin belonging to diterpenes and it is for it that our extract is standardized. Normal extracts without standardization for forskolin are usually available on the market. In addition, the plant contains many other compounds valuable for the body – diterpenes, triterpenes (betulin), essential oils, as well as polyphenols – such as rosemary acid.

How does Indian nettle work?

Indian nettle extract has a beneficial effect on metabolism and fat storage, thanks to which it helps maintain a healthy body weight. For this reason, the plant is valued and currently willingly used by people who lose weight. However, the health-promoting properties of Coleus forskohlii have been noticed and appreciated much earlier in India, where for thousands of years the plant has been successfully used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine.

Origin and standardization of extract
