Description

Boswellia (Boswellia serrata) is a small deciduous tree of the plasma family (Burseraceae), quite commonly found in India, other species and varieties of Boswellia are also found in the Arabian Peninsula, Africa and China. The source of the active substances produced by the plant is an oleoresin called frankincense/olibanum. The resin is obtained by cutting the bark of the tree and then drying the resulting exudate. The crystals created in this way are still used as incense – hence the name of the plant.

Frankincense resin is one of the oldest herbs known in Ayurveda and has also been used in traditional Chinese medicine. Modern research indicates the beneficial effects of Indian frankincense, m.in . in supporting joint health and maintaining their mobility. The most important active ingredient of Indian frankincense resin is boswellic acids – compounds belonging to triterpenes .

Content: 100 Vege capsules

Recommended daily dose necessary to obtain the beneficial effect of the product: 1 capsule a day during a meal. Do not exceed the recommended portion for consumption during the day.
