Cimicifuga racemosa (Cimicifuga racemosa) is a perennial belonging to the glaucoma family. Its natural area of occurrence is North America (USA and Canada). The flowering period of the plant falls at the end of summer, when white flowers are showered, with a candle-like appearance. For this reason, in Poland, bedbugs are also sometimes called candlesticks and grown as an ornamental plant. However, the most valuable part of the plant, which hides a wealth of health-promoting ingredients, is the rhizome. The healing effect of bedbugs was first noticed many years ago, by North American Indians, who used it primarily as a measure for female health problems (menstrual disorders).

Currently, the plant is also a valued herbal raw material. Modern research has confirmed that the rhizome of bedbugs is a source of many active substances that positively affect the functioning of the female body, such as triterpene glycosides, alkaloids, flavonoids, isoflavones or polyphenols.

How does bedbug work?

Thanks to the content of biological active ingredients such as triterpene glycosides, as well as isoflavones (phytoestrogens) and other estrogenic compounds, pbed bug helps women maintain comfort and well-being during menopause - relieves its undesirable symptoms such as hot flashes, sweating, anxiety or irritability.

What standardization and origin of the extract?

When planning supplementation, it is worth paying attention to standardization, i.e. the power of the extract, as well as its origin. Supplement manufacturers often use non-standardized extracts, based only on DER values, or base their products not on an extract, but on dried, powdered plant material, having a much lower content of active ingredients.

Unlike many products on the market that are based on Chinese raw materials, our extract was produced from plants growing in America (USA), which is a natural area of occurrence of bedbugs.

The extract contained in our product is characterized by high standardization for triterpene glycosides of 2,5%. This means that each 100mg of the extract contains 2,5 mg of triperpene glycosides, which is the main active ingredient of bedbugs.
