What is Baikal Thyroid?

Baikal thyroid (Scutellaria baicalensis) is a perennial belonging to the family of light-tailed. Its natural area of occurrence is eastern Asia, where the plant grows in vast areas of China, Korea Mongolia and the Siberian regions of Russia. During the flowering period, the upper part of the shoots is showered with characteristic blue-filet flowers, which are the hallmark of the plant. However, a particularly valuable part of the Baikal thyroid is the root, whose beneficial properties are known and used in traditional Chinese medicine, where it has been one of the basic herbal ingredients for centuries.

Baikal thyroid root extract is rich in numerous biologically active ingredients, among which the main one is mentioned flavonoid known as baicalin, whose name is also often used in relation to the products obtained on the basis of the plant. In addition, Baikal thyroid root abounds in other valuable flavonoids and a number of other plant ingredients that have a beneficial effect on the body, such as essential oils or terpenoids.

How does Baikal thyroid work?

Baikal thyroid belongs to adaptogen, a group of plant-derived agents that increase resistance to stress and help maintain the balance of the body. In addition, it has strong antioxidant properties, contributes to the proper functioning of muscles and helps maintain healthy tendons and joints, improving their flexibility. What standardization of extract?

When deciding on Baikal thyroid supplementation, it is worth paying attention to standardization, i.e. the power of the extract, as well as its dose.
