Action

The device uses an oscillometric method to measure blood pressure and pulse. The sleeve is connected to the measuring instrument and wrapped around the arm. After pressing the switch, the system starts automatic pumping of the cuff, during which blood pressure is measured. The device senses small fluctuations in pressure exerted on the sleeve by expanding and contracting the blood vessels of the arm in response to each heartbeat. The apparatus stops pumping air when the cuff is inflated enough to determine diastolic (diastolic) and systolic (systolic) blood pressure, then the air is released from the cuff. The amplitude of each pressure wave is measured, converted to a value in mmHg and displayed digitally on a liquid crystal screen (display). If an irregular pulse rhythm is detected during the measurement, the irregular pulse symbol will be displayed on the display. The memory chip can retain for comparison the last 30 measurement values with their dates and times, as well as the average of the results.
