The BASIC STANDARD Sanity® MD 5940 blood pressure monitor is designed to measure systolic and diastolic blood pressure in adults. The device uses a non-invasive oscillometric method in which the pumped cuff is applied around the arm. The device is designed for daily measurement of blood pressure.

Also indicated for people suffering from hypertension, diabetics, with congenital or acquired heart defects and after a heart attack.

HOW TO MEASURE

1. Wrap the cuff exactly around your arm, with the cord on the inside of your hand. The cuff is correctly put on if you can slide your finger freely between the shoulder and the material.
2. Sit comfortably, putting your forearm on a flat surface (as in the picture). Remember that the cuff, put on the shoulder, is on the heart line.
3. Turn on the start button. The measurement will start automatically, and after a while the result will be displayed on the screen. If arrhythmias are detected, a heart sign will appear on the screen.
