⚡ Five gigabit ports
The S505G-V3 gives five wired connections at speeds up to 1000 Mbps. It can split the network from the router between several devices set at one station or in the RTV zone. Gigabit bandwidth allows you to use compatible cabling and network adapters for faster transmission than models limited to Fast Ethernet.
✦ Home and desk use
The product card specifies the device as a switch to be placed on the desk. It will work where one Ethernet cable is supposed to handle several devices. It can limit the number of devices competing for Wi-Fi and provide them with a permanent wired connection, as long as the entire infrastructure is running to a compliant standard.
✓ Unmanaged range of functions
The model does not offer VLAN, Trunk or Spanning Tree. It is also not intended for installation in a RACK cabinet or attachment to the ground. Thanks to this, it corresponds to simple applications in which the user needs additional ports, but does not require the creation of logical segments and advanced administration.
