Description:

The device is a newer, improved version of the xPoE-4-11-HS model. Based on your suggestions and our own observations and tests, the new version with the letter A has been enriched with several functional modifications:

• Improvements have been made to the PoE IN power supply system
• added sequential start of PoE OUT outputs (during startup and after short circuit)
• reduced maximum power consumption (below 0,5W)
• reduced width slightly from 97 mm to 93 mm

xPoE-4-11A-HS was designed as an extender (repeater) of LAN and PoE power supply. Regenerates the network signal and transfers PoE power to selected outputs. Most often used as an "amplifier" for extending the network on sections longer than 100m. In addition, it is ideal as an "active splitter" in situations where we need to run several PoE receivers on one cable (e.g. several IP cameras), or when we need to create an additional network branch.

Unmanaged PoE switches and extenders are designed to work with IP cameras and other network devices powered in the PoE 802.3at/af and PoE Passive standards.

H HS (Heat Shrink) housing is a well-thought-out solution that provides insulation and the smallest possible dimensions of the device. The small size gives wider possibilities of choosing the place of installation.

Remember about issues that we have no control over...

The total power consumed by the cameras connected to the extender (PoE receivers) must not exceed the power budget offered by the switch supplying the entire line:

• for the 802.3af standard it is approx. 13W available on extender
• for the 802.3at standard it is approx. 25W available on extender
• for PoE Passive it is a maximum of 40W available on extender (LAN1+PoE IN)

Include IR illuminators - they turn on at night significantly increasing power consumption. Also take into account losses in the power cord - depend on its cross-section, length and voltage value on the PoE line
