Application

Electric duct heaters designed to heat supply air in ventilation systems of circular cross-section. They are used to heat air in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

The housing and junction box are made of galvanized steel sheet, while the heating elements are made of stainless steel. Hermetic connection of the heater with ventilation ducts is enabled by rubber seals.

NK duct heaters are equipped with two thermostats to protect against overheating:

main protection with automatic restart switching from +50ºC. After cooling, the thermostat automatically closes the controlled circuit,

emergency protection with manual restart switching on from +90ºC. If activated, restarting the heater may occur after manual restart

Installation

The design of the heater allows you to place it on round ventilation ducts with buckles. The direction of movement of the air must correspond to the arrow on the heater. Channel heaters can be set in any position, except for the position of the distribution board downwards (the danger of condensation accumulation).

It is recommended to set in which the air flow flows evenly throughout the cross-section.

In front of the heater there should be an air filter, protecting the heating elements from dirt.

The recommended distance between the heater and other elements of the system should be not less than 2 connection diameters.

The efficiency of duct heaters is calculated at a minimum air flow rate of 1,5 m/s and a maximum outgoing air temperature of + 40ºC. If the fan speed controller is used, it is necessary to ensure minimum efficiency by the heater.

The heater cannot work with the fan off.
