Touch screen Waveshare, resistive 5 " for Raspberry Pi with a resolution of 800 x 480 px. Works with any version of the Raspberry Pi via HDMI and USB cable. The set also includes a black and white case that houses a minicomputer with a screen attached.

Connection with Raspberry Pi

To start the screen, connect the device to the Raspberry Pi via the included HDMI and microUSB cables. HDMI connector transmits image, USB port receives touch interface data.

Software

The screen works with the latest Raspbian system without the need to install drivers. However, in order for the screen to display the image correctly, you need to change the resolution in the configuration file. To do this, open the config.txt file with the command:

• sudo nano /boot/config.txt

and then at the end of it add the following instructions:

• max_usb_current=1
• hdmi_group=2
• hdmi_mode=87
• hdmi_cvt 800 480 60 6 0 0 0

After saving the file and restarting the raspberry, the image and touch function should work properly.
