Method of use

The following are the different steps to ensure that the pen needle is used correctly:

Check the expiration date of the product. If expired, do not use it.

Check the compatibility of the needle with the pen you want to administer the medicine according to the directions on the package.

Before each injection, a new needle should be inserted and then removed immediately after use. It is important never to store the pen with the needle attached, as this creates an open flow between the cartridge and the external environment. The needle is a sterile single-use device and must therefore be disposed of after each injection. Leaving it and leaving it can cause:

Lack of accurate dosage. If you leave the needle on the pen, the composition of the mixture may change between injections.

air entry into the cartridge through the needle. Air molecules reduce the flow of the drug during injection, which can lead to a reduction in the dose of the drug.

crystallization of the drug. If you leave a needle attached to the pen, the medicine inside the pen will crystallize to become crystals and completely or partially clog the needle, making it difficult or impossible to inject.

the occurrence of infection. After use, the needle loses sterility.

painful injection. During the injection, the moisturizing substance that the needle is covered with is completely removed and the tip of the needle is gradually deformed, losing its original form. Often, the tip of the needle takes the shape, “hook”, causing increasing pain and damage to the skin tissues.

Before each injection, make sure that the medicine flows out correctly. Always have a spare needle to replace.

Use the technique recommended by your doctor to properly insert the needle into your skin. After inserting the needle, press the injection button all the way down

Paying attention not to change the angle of the pen. If a leak occurs after pulling out the needle, the next injection should be given

Hold the needle inserted for a longer period of time with the same dose.

Once the injection is complete, remove the needle from the pen and dispose of it in a suitable container as required by applicable law.

Warnings

The pen/pen needle is a single-use product. Put on a new needle for each injection.

The product should be used for its intended purpose.
