VACUUMING AND MOPPING

RCV 5 does two things: vacuums and wipes the floor wet. The rotating brush, side brush, and fan collect dry dirt into the built-in container, while the microfiber water pad can handle sticky dirt.

LIDAR LASER NAVIGATION WITH DUAL SENSOR AND CAMERA – HOW IT WORKS

In order to clean thoroughly and not wander, the robot must know where it is and what is in front of it. RCV 5 combines two ways of looking: the LiDAR laser builds a map of the entire apartment, and the dual laser sensor and camera watch over what is right in front of the robot.

• Laser navigation LiDAR scans rooms and creates an accurate map of them – it also works in the dark, because it does not need light.
• The dual laser sensor and camera recognize small, flat obstacles that LiDAR itself cannot see: cables, socks, shoes.
• The robot puts obstacles on the map and avoids them instead of entering them.
• The fall sensors recognize the edges and stairs, so the robot turns around.
• This makes it less likely to be rescued, and you don’t have to clean the cables off the floor before each startup.

CARPET DETECTION AND AUTO Boost MODE

Carpet needs to be vacuumed harder than panels, and when mopping it is better to bypass it at all. RCV 5 recognizes carpets by itself and adjusts the work accordingly.

• Auto Boost mode is activated on the carpet – the robot automatically increases the suction power (on a daily basis the suction power is 5000 Pa).

Does the robot empty the dust container itself? No. RCV 5 has a charging station, not an emptying station – you empty the dust container (330 ml) yourself. After each cleaning, the robot returns to the station and charges itself.

Can it handle carpets? Yeah, with short-haired carpets. The ultrasonic sensor detects the carpet and turns on Auto Boost mode, which increases suction power. In mopping mode, the robot avoids carpets so as not to get them wet.

Does it avoid obstacles, such as cables? Yes. In addition to LiDAR navigation, the robot has a dual laser sensor and camera that recognize even flat obstacles — cables, socks, shoes — and put them on the map, and the robot bypasses them.

Does he clean in the dark? Yes. LiDAR laser navigation does not need light, so the robot also orients itself in a dark room.
