Purpose:

• Measurement of capillary blood glucose levels from the entire finger, hand or forearm by laymen and healthcare professionals.
• Measurement of glucose levels in venous or arterial blood only by medical staff.
• For in vitro diagnostics only

Principles of test operation:

The blood sample is sucked into the reaction zone of the strip under the influence of capillary force. When the glucose in the blood reacts with the reagent on the electrodes, the meter will detect the current, providing potential. The current will then be converted to an equivalent plasma blood glucose value.

Chemical composition of strips:

• Glucose dehydrogenase (GDH-FAD) ≤1,5 units (microorganism).
• Other components (buffer, mediator, surfactant, stabilizer, etc. ) ≤ 0,2 mg

Test results:

Measuring range: 20-600 mg/dl (1,1-33,3 mmol/l)

• Normal glucose levels before breakfast: 70-105 mg/dL (3,9-5,8 mmol/L) 1 or 2 hours
• After a meal: < 120- 160 mg/dL (6,7-8,9 mmol/L) (range is information only. )
• If “lo” is displayed, blood glucose levels may be below 20 mg/dL (1,1 mmol/L).
• If “Hi” is displayed, blood glucose levels may exceed 600 mg/dL (33,3 mmol/L).

Accuracy:

The accuracy of glucose measurement was carried out with capillary finger blood and compared with calibrators of reference instruments that were referenced to NIST SRM 917. The product meets the requirements of EN ISO 15197.
