APPLICATION
Diagnostic GOLD STRIP blood glucose test strips are designed to independently measure the level of glucose by a patient from whole capillary blood taken from the fingertip, hand, forearm or arm. The blood glucose measurement system is designed for non-professional users and should be used by one person. Diagnostic GOLD STRIP test strips are used for external use (in vitro diagnostics).
TESTING PRINCIPLES
The Diagnostic GOLD STRIP blood glucose test strip has an electrode that measures glucose levels. The glucose contained in the blood sample is mixed with the reagents on the test strip, resulting in a low-intensity electrical current. Its intensity depends on the amount of glucose in the blood. Diagnostic GOLD glucose meter measures the current and converts the measurement result into the amount of glucose contained in the blood. The glucose concentration value appears on the LCD display of the glucose meter. When a drop of blood is absorbed through the tip of the Diagnostic GOLD STRIP test strip, the reaction field of the strip automatically sucks blood through the capillary forces. When the entire reaction field (yellow field) is filled, the Diagnostic GOLD glucose meter starts measuring the glucose level. It is a simple and practical system for daily monitoring of glucose levels.
