Description
The PCM5122 Audio Board (A) by Waveshare designed for Raspberry Pi boards with a 40-pin GPIO connector enables high-quality stereo sound reproduction via the I2S interface. On board is a professional PCM5122 digital-to-analog converter, which supports resolutions up to 32 bits and sampling rates up to 384 kHz. Communication with the microcontroller takes place via the I2C bus.
The device is equipped with a standard 3,5 mm headphone jack output and RCA connector, allowing you to connect an amplifier or external speakers. EEPROM memory is also placed on the board, allowing automatic loading of drivers in the Raspberry Pi OS. The module is used in projects requiring high-quality sound reproduction, m.in. in multimedia systems, audio players, information terminals and DIY audio projects.
