The Swedish brand was founded in 2016. r., which a year earlier discovered how to facilitate the absorption of an energy source by providing high concentration carbohydrates in an innovative product such as hydrogel.

MAURTEN GEL MIX 480

Gel Mix 480 gives athletes greater access to training and competition thanks to Hydrogel technology. Refueling system using a thermos for athletes training with the intention – duration and distance of a long training session or race, as well as the frequency of a repeated training block. Because consistency matters, Gel Mix 480 offers an additional hydrogel formula that provides complete nutrition during more sessions and competitions. The consistency is denser than in Drink Mix and looser than in Gel. Each sachet contains 120 grams of carbohydrates when dissolved in 200 ml of water.

Gel Mix 480 is sensitive to pH. It behaves like a Drink Mix, transforming into a real gel in the acidic environment of the stomach. This change causes the carbohydrates in capsules to close and transport them through the stomach to the place of absorption, making it easier to draw energy during sports.

Gel Mix 480 does not contain any added flavors, preservatives or dyes. To diversify the consistency and avoid the effect of taste fatigue, it can be combined with Maurten additives – Cola, Menthol, Orange or Apple. Gel Mix 480 is designed to be mixed and consumed in a 350 ml container of Gel Mix and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 72 hours.
