The Microlife MT710 thermometer is a medical device used to measure body temperature. The device is waterproof.
An audible signal informs about the readiness to work and the completion of the measurement. The thermometer remembers the result of the last measurement. After the measurement is completed, if it is not turned off, an automatic shutdown takes place to extend the battery life. The thermometer has a replaceable battery. The graphic icon informs about the need to replace it.
Measurement methods (base body temperature):
- in the mouth (oral) (35,5-37,5°C) - the thermometer should be placed under the tongue, on the right or left side of the mouth. The measuring sensor must be in good contact with the tissue. In addition, the mouth should be closed - we breathe through the nose. In this way, we will avoid air entering the mouth during temperature measurement, which could cause distortions in the result of temperature measurement. Approximate measurement time: 30 seconds.
- rectal (rectal) (36,6-38,0°C) - this method gives the most accurate result, especially for infants and children. Carefully place the measuring sensor in the anus to a depth of approx. 2-3 cm. Approximate measurement time: 30 seconds.
- under the armpit (axillary) (34,7-37,3°C) - for a more reliable result, it is recommended to perform a measurement in the mouth or anus. The minimum recommended measurement time is 3-5 minutes regardless of previous sound signaling.
