Method of use

Use interchangeably for cocoa in the same proportions in recipes. For porridge: 1-2 tablespoons per serving. For chocolate cake: replace cocoa 1:1 (typically 50-80 g per 24 cm sponge cake). For protein shake: 1 tablespoon per glass of drink. Karob does not require added sugar in the same amounts as cocoa - naturally sweet, so you can reduce the amount of sweetener in the recipe.

Purpose

Ground, seedless pods of the carob tree (Ceratonia siliqua) - a plant that has been cultivated for thousands of years in the Mediterranean. Origin: certified organic farming in Spain, a single-component product without any additives.

Unlike cocoa, carob has a naturally sweet taste without caffeine and theobromine - this makes it a convenient alternative for people avoiding stimulants. High fiber content (36 g/100 g - more than 6 times the threshold of Roz. 1924/2006) and natural sugars of the fruit (38 g / 100 g) give sweetness without the need for sweetening. It is used interchangeably with cocoa in the same proportions.
