MDI 2 supports diagnostic applications: GDS 2, Data Bus Diagnostic Tool and Tech2Win. It also supports Pass Thru: TIS2Web SPS development applications. The MDI 2 is backwards compatible, so it can be used for Pass Thru programming on all vehicles manufactured since 1996 using the J1962 connector using a DLC cable. The connection between MDI 2 and PC can be established via standalone mode (USB) and Dler network (CAT5).
