Sodium percarbonate (chemical formula: 2Na₂CO₃·3H₂O₂) is a white, odorless powder that is a compound of sodium carbonate (calcined sodium) and hydrogen peroxide (i.e. hydrogen peroxide in solid form).

In contact with water, it decomposes, releasing active oxygen, which makes it work:

• disinfectant,
• whitening,
• cleaning,
• disinfectant.

It is environmentally friendly – only soda and hydrogen peroxide remain after decomposition.

Use of sodium percarbonate at home

1. Washing

   Effective whitewash bleach (alternative to chlorine bleach).

   Removes stains from sweat, coffee, tea, wine, grass.

   It can be added to washing powder (1 to 2 tablespoons).

   Suitable for soaking stubborn dirt.

2. Cleaning the bathroom and kitchen

   Dissolved in water acts as a cleaning and disinfectant.

   Removes mold, soap deposits, grout dirt.

   Disinfects toilets, sinks, shower cabins.

3. Cleaning the dishwasher and washing machine

   Cleans from deposits, disinfects and refreshes.

   Just pour 1 to 2 tablespoons and let go of the empty cycle.

4. Cleaning cups, thermoses and jugs

   Dissolves deposits from coffee and tea.

   Pour a teaspoon into a dish, pour hot water and let stand for 30 minutes.

5. Refreshing shower curtains and plastics

   Soak in a solution of percarbonate and warm water – removes fungi and bacteria.

6. Carpet and upholstery refresher:

   Sodium percarbonate, combined with a small amount of borax, will create a powder that will refresh your carpets and upholstery. Pour out the mixture, wait a few minutes, and then vacuum to enjoy not only cleanliness, but also natural freshness without harmful substances.

7. Homemade dishwasher tablets:

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl: soda + acid + salt + percarbonate. Gradually spray with a little water (e.g. from the atomizer bottle), stirring constantly until the mass begins to clump slightly, like wet sand. Note: Too much water will cause foaming (sodium-acid reaction). Add essential oil if you use. Transfer the mass to silicone molds (e.g. on ice), knead well.

Allow to dry for 12 to 24 hours in a dry place.

After drying, remove the tablets and store in an airtight jar or container.

• Do not use for colored fabrics (may bleach).
• Store in a dry place, away from children.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin (irritating in concentration).
• Do not mix with acids (e.g. vinegar) – there may be a violent reaction.
