Simply enter the calibration menu, lightly press the gauge's probe directly onto a clean, uncoated metal substrate (steel or aluminum), then lift it after the message appears on the screen and confirm with the OK button. This allows for instant resetting of the reference point.
• TWO-POINT CALIBRATION: The ideal solution when you need excellent precision in a specific, higher measurement range. In this mode, you first perform a quick zero calibration, then place a standard plate of known thickness (e.g., 1000 microns) onto the clean substrate. After applying the probe and reading the result, correct it using the arrows on the device to the actual plate value and save it in the device's memory.
• RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS: If you ever perform calibration incorrectly or on a contaminated surface, don't worry. A single click in the menu allows you to immediately erase manual settings and restore the device's factory, highly accurate calibration, bringing it back to full functionality.
