The Benetech GT233 meter is equipped with an intelligent auto-detection algorithm that immediately and without user intervention recognizes the type of material on which the measurement is being performed:

• Magnetic substrate (Fe): Steel and iron (standard bodywork components).
• Non-magnetic substrate (nFe): Aluminum, copper and other metal alloys (increasingly commonly used in modern cars).
• Intelligent detection of the zinc layer (Fe+Zn): This is an uncompromising advantage of this model! The device automatically detects the presence of a non-magnetic coating (usually zinc) on a magnetic steel base. This allows you to immediately know whether a given body part has original factory anti-corrosion protection or whether the zinc layer has disappeared after bodywork repairs.
